Nicholas and I have been dreaming about Chipotle since Cape Town. That was almost four months ago. At some point in South Africa, we decided that our first meal when we get back home would be Chipotle. Because we’re getting excited about our homecoming next week (hard to believe), I decided to write Chipotle a little love letter.  In response, they too wrote us a little love letter complete with vouchers for two free burritos. Score! The whole amazingly happy conversation is below for your enjoyment. Grams, this is our first stop after you scoop us!

My husband and I have been traveling abroad since January, and since about Day 10 of our trip, we’ve been craving Chipotle. See, we’re both avid Chipotle lovers. I would make it a point to get my Chipotle fix at least once a week at work, and then usually once more on the weekends. It’s just so good: good for me, good for the environment. Win win win.

We’re now at Day 109 of our trip, and heading back home to the States in less that two weeks. Long ago we decided our first meal upon landing in American soil: a Chipotle burrito. The plan is to get picked up from the airport and drive straight to the Chipotle in Stuart, Florida (the closest one to my house).

So thank you, Chipotle, for being so delicious. We can’t wait to walk into your front doors once more and experience the goodness of Chipotle.

Oh my, Madagascar?! How fun! We are glad and lucky to have such worldly and traveled fans, and I’m sorry we haven’t been able to make the journey with you. We definitely look forward to reuniting with you and your husband though, and I hope the burritos you’ve been dreaming of all this time satisfy that hankering. While I imagine it won’t quite work for your first meal back with us, logistically speaking (it’s likely you have a hold on your mail?), I’d love for your second set of burritos on US soil to be one us. If you’ll kindly reply with your postal address, I’d be happy to send you a meal-for-two card (good for two main menu items, fountain drinks, and chips with guacamole) in the mail.
